This section will give you information on some of the positive youth development programs that Siouxland CARES is involved with including the Sioux City Mayor’s Youth Commission and Sioux City Young Ambassadors. Click on the title to learn more about each program!

Sioux City Mayor’s Youth Commission

The Mayor’s Youth Commission (MYC) is a commission of the City of Sioux City. The mission of  MYC is to explore, communicate, and provide for the needs, problems, issues, and activities affecting the city’s youth. Siouxland CARES coordinates the efforts of MYC.

Sioux City Young Ambassadors

The Mayor’s Youth Commission’s (MYC) accepts applications for its Young Ambassadors program in February/March.  This program honors students who have displayed good character and/or exceptional leadership inside or outside of the classroom.
